Dede Bartlett is a frequent speaker on career and work/life issues to college and graduate students. Her lectures
area drawn from her experience as a senior officer with two Fortune 50 companies – Exxon/Mobil and Altria, a Trustee and Visiting Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, a Director of A Better Chance and the Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Domestic Violence Hotline. She is the mother of two recent college graduates.
Dede was Vice President of Corporate Affairs Programs at Altria Group, Inc. where she developed the company’s award-winning domestic violence awareness programs. She has lectured around the world on domestic violence issues and sponsored more than 40 conferences in the United States, Europe, Central American and Australia.
Dede was also Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Philip Morris. Earlier, she served as Corporate Secretary of Mobil Corporation, President of Mobil Foundation and Chair of the Board Contributions Committee where she directed Mobil’s world-wide charitable giving programs. In addition, she was Assistant to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mobil and the Company’s first Director of Affirmative Action.
Dede received the 2005 Women Who Make A Difference Award from the International Women’s Forum. She has also been honored by Lifetime Television, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, the YWCA of New York, the National Center for Victims of Crime, the National Council of Jewish Women, the Stamford, Ct. Police Department, Women in Management and the Center Against Domestic Violence. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women.
Dede is the Immediate Past President of the Women’s Forum of New York, a Director of the Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence, a Trustee of the American University of Central Asia and a Member of the Advisory Boards of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and Coach Me. She is an honors graduate of Vassar College and holds a Masters Degree from New York University.
